When did Harry ever pay tuition?

When Hagrid was like, “Yer a wizard, Harry.” Harry was all, “But I haven’t any money!”

And then Hagrid was like, “Lulz, just wait, moneybags.” So I think it was implied. Or maybe it was just for books/robes/wand/etc. I dunno. I dont know how they’d pay teachers without tuition since Hogwarts was pretty separate from the Ministry. then again, it’s only food and teacher salaries they’re paying. The house elves were free and there’s no electricity and all security is “magic.” Why would it cost that much?

 I’m pretty sure everyone goes for free at Hogwarts except for the schoolbooks and stuff. Idk, I never thought about them actually having to pay for tuition. I feel that the founders would have wanted kids to learn magic for free (well, maybe Salazar S. would have felt differently but thats 1 out of 4 founders). But then again, that doesn’t make sense because the teachers would have to get paid. Someone needs to get this to Rowling because I am seriously concerned now (seriously guys, for reals).

But, if they did have to pay, I bet there’s tons of grants and scholarships like “The Muggle Born Witches and Wizards Fund” or some ish. Or theres loans or something.
